Using a price comparison website, I received quotes for my car insurance. As someone who works in the industry, I was not surprised to see one well-known brand quoting £450, a second quoting me £700, and a third quoting £1,200- despite there being little difference between the products. For someone not working in the world of insurance, you can see why the industry appears difficult to understand- although, you could also argue that even if you work in the world of insurance this is still difficult to understand!
